OOps
Rode down to Arbroath (via the 'dark-side' of Cairn O'Mount) with Peem on Saturday - 106km into the teeth of a headwind - stupidly reset the trip-distance on my computer, whilst leaning on the bike outside the wee shop in Fettercairn. Can't face re-setting the computer altogether, so will be going with the more permanent odometer, which started running the week before I started the challenge (I'm therefore ultimately aiming for 12,136km). Finished last week on 685.6km, have ridden 172.2km since, so have 142.2km to ride before Thursday if I'm to complete 1,000km in my first month. This is manageable, however, I'm more than a little nervous about doing this kind of distance when winter comes round again...I'm really going to have to try to 'bank' some distance. A big well done to Peem by the way who wouldn't have even considered the 'Cairn' this time last year and who's not ridden that far or high since sometime in the 90's.
